handmade wire & glass bead crosses
what is a "rearview blessing?" well, simply put they are a reminder to each of us that in this life there will be things that happen that disappoint, hurt, anger, or just bewilder us. so often we don't see the blessing in these things until we're further down the road...sometimes days, sometimes decades. as my pastor reminds us regularly, God never wastes a hurt. he is present in every moment and never takes his eyes off of us. rearview blessings remind me to seek out the blessing in the bad stuff of the past, to reflect on those times, and to thank God for his sovereignty and grace. i find so much hope in that and i pray that each time you glance in your rearview mirror that you'll remember his love and see the blessings back there.
these handmade-by-me crosses are a labor of love. the front of the cross is covered in tiny glass beads to create a beautiful design. the back of the cross shows off the intricacy of the woven wire. rearview blessings come with a thin cord to hang from your car's rearview mirror. they also make beautiful christmas ornaments, handbag charms, or even keychains. they are an inexpensive and thoughtful gift for anyone on your list! custom designs available by request. thanks for stopping by my site, please help me spread the word!

thanks for all of the incredibly sweet compliments my crosses received at women of faith dallas this past weekend! i will have a booth at a local holiday market on october 30th and i'd love to see you all there. there is also a possibility that these crosses will be showing up in a very chic little boutique on the weatherford square soon...we'll see! i will keep you posted. as the post title said - pics coming soon!!!
p.s. - i want to use some/most/all of the proceeds to support a worthy charity. i've been praying around this and i'm open to ideas. let me know if you have any!
p.s.s. - i sponsored a child through world vision @ wof!!! her name is jovia, she is 11 years old, from uganda, and so beautiful! please pray for this precious little girl and her family. i am so excited to start writing her letters, sending pictures, etc. i feel like I finally got my baby even though she's somebody else's and lives half a world away. maybe i'll just sponsor more and more kids with my proceeds - how cool would that be?!? :)

welcome!
thanks for visiting my website! please check back often as pictures of new designs will be added regularly. rearview blessings are handmade, one of a kind, wire and glass bead crosses designed to hang from your car's rearview mirror. my hope is that they will be daily reminders of how much God loves us and help us to remember that as christians, we represent God as we go about living our daily lives.
this is new to me - i'm certainly not looking to become a millionaire doing this. i'd just like to be able to offset some of my costs and have the ability to give a cross away whenever i feel led to do so. sometimes you just know that someone needs a little encouragement, kindness, prayer, comfort...i hope you'll pick out a few extras to have on hand just to bless people as God lays them on your heart. i've had this privilege and i just love when He sends someone to me so that i can be a good part of their day.
speaking of these types of opportunities, here's one from just the other day -
a very sad looking lady came in to my office on monday. in the course of doing business she explained that she was burying her father that afternoon. we visited a while and i felt God nudge me to reach out to her. i ignored him. i know - horrible! isn't it silly how we sometimes hesitate to share our faith with others? why do we do it? i let her walk out the door. the minute she did i put my head down, disappointed with myself for not speaking up. i literally said out loud "i missed my chance God, i know it. i'm sorry." well we definitely serve a God of second chances (3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th ones too) because she immediately turned around and came back in. God graciously gave me a second chance. i grabbed a gorgeous multi-colored cross out of my stash in my desk, handed it to her, and said something to the effect of "i feel like you could use this today, i'm praying for you." she thanked me and left quickly. so why did she turn around? maybe she had a question but i scared her and she decided to take off, who knows? i really believe God orchestrated that knowing that she could use a reminder that He had not forgotten about her or the grief she was feeling. i hope my little cross was a tiny comfort in a tough time. everyone pray for danielle.
